BEEF TACOS 
12 fully cooked taco shells
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
2 tsp. chili powder
1 c. shredded lettuce
1/2 c. natural sharp shredded Cheddar cheese
Taco sauce, as desired
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 c. chopped tomatoes

Heat taco shells as directed on package. Brown beef and onion in frying pan. Drain off fat. Stir in tomato sauce and chili powder. Bring to boil. Reduce heat. Cook uncovered 10 to 15 minutes stirring occasionally until mixture is dry and crumbly. Fill heated taco shells with approximately 2 tablespoons meat mixture. Mix tomatoes, lettuce and cheese. Spoon about 2 tablespoons over beef in taco shells. Drizzle with taco sauce as desired.
