CHILE VERDE (CALIFORNIA STYLE 
1 lb. cut up pork steak
1 lg. onion, diced
1 (8 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1 (4 oz.) can diced chiles
1 can water

Brown pork and onion; add remaining ingredients. Simmer several hours. Add garlic salt to taste. Serve with refried beans and Spanish rice and warmed flour tortillas.
