APPLE MACAROON PIE 
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
4 c. apples, sliced thin
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1/4 c. milk
1 c. coconut
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Line pie pan with pastry. Place apples in pan. Mix 1/2 cup sugar, flour, salt and sprinkle over apples. Dot with 1 tablespoon butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon butter, egg, milk and coconut. Sprinkle over hot pie. Bake 30 minutes more.
