BROWN SUGAR POUND CAKE 
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup shortening (Crisco)
1 cup white sugar
1 (1 lb.) box light brown sugar
5 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. maple flavoring
2 cups chopped nuts

Cream butter, shortening and sugars. Add eggs; beat well. Add flour and milk. Alternate adding flavoring and nuts.

Pour into greased Bundt pan or two greased loaf pans. Bake 2 hours at 250°F or 1 1/2 hours at 325°F. Cool before removing from pans.
