TEXAS BARBECUE | |
1 (6 lb.) chuck roast (very lean) 2 stalks celery, chopped 3 onions, chopped 1 pepper, chopped 1 (14 oz.) bottle catsup 3 tbsp. Open Pit barbecue sauce 1 tbsp. salt 1 tbsp. pepper 1 1/2 c. water 2 packets George Washington seasoning Place in roaster, heat to boiling. Put in oven covered at 325 degrees for 5 hours. Then take apart with 2 forks. Remove all fat and bone. Place on burner until sauce boils down. Makes 25-30 sandwiches. Great to freeze. (I use large warm hamburger buns.) |
