WHOLESOME BABY FOOD - CARROTS AND POTATOES | |
8 oz carrots 1 large potato In a 4 quart pressure cooker, add 1 cup of water. Insert pressure cooker rack. Wash and scrub vegetables. Cut potatoes into large chunks. Cut carrots into large chunks. Bring to pressure and cook for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat, allow to cool for 10 minutes. Remove vegetables and serve according to the baby's age - if these will be serving a toddler who is accustomed to whole foods, serve as-is. Food will be soft enough for a teething baby. If your baby is still eating pureed foods, press the mixture through a sieve or use a food processor or blender until smooth. Extra puree may be put into ice cube trays and saved for future servings. Freeze and pop cubes into a jar or bag and return to freezer. Submitted by: Belle |
