BLACK MOONS 
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. cocoa
Pinch of salt

Mix all ingredients. Drop by tablespoons on ungreased sheet and bake in 425 degree oven about 6 to 7 minutes. Remove from sheet and fill when cool.

CREAMY FILLING:

1/3 c. evaporated milk
2/3 c. Crisco
3/4 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Put all ingredients in one bowl and let stand 15 minutes, then beat until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
