HAMBURGER AND VEGETABLE
CASSEROLE
 
1 1/2 lb. hamburger or ground beef
Sliced potatoes
Sliced celery
Sliced carrots
Sliced green pepper
Sliced onions
1 can of tomatoes
Salt & pepper to taste
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. rice

Saute hamburger with salt and pepper. Place in greased casserole. Add layer of each potatoes, carrots, celery, onions and green peppers. Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce. Add tomatoes. Be sure there is enough liquid to come halfway up the dish. Add 1/4 cup rice. Bake covered at 300 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Uncover the last 15 minutes, place slices of Velveeta cheese and cook until bubbly.
