CHOCOLATE FUDGE PUDDING 
1 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. sugar
6 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
1 c. brown sugar

Sift flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and 2 tablespoons cocoa. Add milk, shortening and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Add pecans in greased shallow 3 quart baking dish or 10 x 10 x 2 inch dish. Mix brown sugar and remaining 4 tablespoons cocoa.

Sprinkle over mixture in baking dish. Pour 1 1/2 cups boiling water over the top. This pudding when baked has a chocolate sauce on bottom and cake on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream.
