NIGHT - BEFORE FRENCH TOAST 
1 (10 oz.) loaf French bread, unsliced
8 lg. eggs
3 c. milk
4 tsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. butter

Grease 13 x 9 inch pan. Slice bread into 1 inch slices and arrange in pan. Blend remaining ingredients, except butter, and pour over bread. Cover with foil and refrigerate 4-36 hours. When ready to bake, uncover, and dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes until puffy and lightly brown. Serves 8.
