HAMBURGER GRAVY WITH PEAS 
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup onion (chopped) or 1 tbsp. instant minced onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 beef bouillon cube
1 cup hot water or beef broth
1 pint peas
1/4 cup cooked diced carrots (optional)
2 tbsp. corn starch
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp. pepper

Brown the ground beef, salt, pepper, onion and garlic in medium skillet.

Dissolve bouillon cube in the hot water (or use beef broth). Add to meat along with peas and carrots. Cover and simmer until peas are tender.

Make a slurry with 2 tablespoons corn starch and 1/2 cup cold water. Add gradually or use a sifter to stir until dissolved. Simmer 10 minutes or until thickened.

Serve over mashed potatoes.

Makes about 4 servings.
