FRIED COOKIES 
1 c. butter, creamed
2 c. sugar
6 eggs, beat in one at a time
2 tsp. baking powder
2 scant tsp. salt (or less)
7 1/2 c. flour

Stir in one cup of flour at a time until thick to stir, add remaining flour. Knead by hand until well blended, then take a morsel about the size of an English walnut and roll into finger lengths. Fry in deep fat (or oil). When cool, sprinkle with sugar. This makes a large amount.
