MEAT LOAF | |
1 1/2 lb. ground beef 4 slices white bread 1 egg 1 c. tomato sauce 1/2 chopped onion 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/8 tsp. garlic powder (optional) Soak bread in water and hand squeeze water out. It's like wet dough. Work into meat until it's all dissolved. Add egg, tomato sauce, onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Top meat loaf with sauce. Sauce: 1 c. tomato sauce 1 tbsp. prepared mustard 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 tbsp. brown sugar Spread over meat loaf. Bake at 350°F for 1 1/2 hours. |
