ITALIAN MEAT LOAF | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 c. Italian bread crumb s 3/4 c. chopped onions 1 can Progresso tomato sauce 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1 1/4 tsp. salt Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl combine beef, bread crumbs, onions, tomato sauce, eggs and salt. Mix just until blended. In shallow pan shape meat into 9x5x3 loaf. Bake until meat loaf is cooked through, about 45-50 minutes. Sprinkle with shredded Mozzarella cheese, if desired. Bake 5 minutes longer. Remove from oven; let stand 5 minutes before serving. Yield: 6 portions. |
