FRIED APPLE PIES 
1 pt. cooked, dried apples
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar

Mix apples, butter, and sugar. Simmer over low heat until blended. Prepare biscuit, basic doughnut, or pie dough. Roll until thin. This is a matter of taste, about 1/4 inch for biscuits or doughnut dough, 1/8 inch for pie dough. Cut into rounds. Place filling on each piece of dough. Moisten edges; fold over and pinch down with a fork. Cook in a large skillet, covered with 1/4 inch hot grease. Fry over moderate heat until dough begins to be puffy and brown around the edges. Turn pies and fry on the other side for about 8 minutes. Drain well. Sprinkle with sugar. Serve while warm.
