CARROTS 
1 lb. carrots
1/4 c. honey
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. water
1 pinch of salt
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Prepare carrots, cutting in slanting slices 1/4 inch thick. Plunge in boiling water, covered. Check in 15 minutes. If more than half done, add honey, sugar, water, salt; toss until liquid is almost gone. Add heaping tablespoon butter and vanilla. Toss and serve. About 9 servings.
