1/2 c. butter 1/4 c. white sugar 1 egg 4-5 tbsp. cocoa 2 c. graham cracker crumbs (25 crackers) 2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar 1 c. coconut 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/4 c. butter 3 tbsp. milk 2 tbsp. vanilla custard powder 4 squares semi-sweet chocolate Mix 1/2 cup butter, sugar, egg and cocoa. Place over boiling water and stir until mixture looks like custard. Remove from heat and add crumbs, coconut and nuts. Spread into buttered 9"x9" pan. Press down. Cream 1/4 cup butter, milk, custard powder and confectioners' sugar to make a smooth mixture. Spread over base. Melt chocolate and butter over hot water. Spread over custard filling. Chill and cut into squares. Keep in refrigerator. |
