COUNTRY STYLE STEAK 
2 lbs. cube steak
1 sm. onion, sliced thinly
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. flour
Salt and pepper to taste

Salt and pepper cube steak. In a heavy skillet, place 2 tablespoons of shortening. When hot, place onion sliced into pan. Cook lightly on both sides. Remove onion from pan. Flour steak and brown on both sides. Place onion on top of steak and pour in 1 1/2 cups of water. Cover skillet and simmer until tender.
