VACATION BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, separated
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter and chocolate. Add sugar and egg yolks, stirring in yolks 1 at a time. Add flour, nuts and vanilla and mix. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold egg whites into chocolate mixture. Spread into a greased 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut while hot, but let cool before removing from pan, as they will crumble. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
