GRANDMA'S FRESH FRUIT COBBLER 
4 c. fresh fruit
1 3/4 to 2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk

Mix fruit with half the sugar, depending on sweetness of fruit. Put butter in baking dish and melt in oven.

Combine remaining sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Pour over melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon fruit with sugar on top of batter. Bake in 325 degree oven for 1 hour. Serve warm with ice cream or whipping cream. Good with peaches, strawberries, cherries, etc.
