BOSTON BAKED BEANS | |
4 (1 lb. size) cans pork and beans with tomato sauce or with molasses 5 slices bacon 1 c. coarsely chopped onion 1/2 c. light molasses 1/2 c. catsup 1 tsp. dry mustard 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Turn beans into a 3 quart casserole or bean pot. 2. In skillet, saute bacon and onion until onion is golden - 5 minutes. 3. Remove from heat. Add molasses, catsup and mustard. Mix well. Gently stir in beans. 4. Bake uncovered 45 minutes, or until bean are hot and bubbly. Makes 8 to 10 servings. |
