CORNBREAD TACO BAKE | |
1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 (1 1/8 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning 1/2 c. water 1 can whole kernel corn, drained 1/2 c. chopped green peppers 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 (8 1/2 oz.) pkg. corn muffin mix 1 (2.8 oz.) can French fried onions 1/3 c. shredded cheddar cheese (1 oz.) Brown meat; drain. Stir in next 5 ingredients. Pour into 8 x 12 inch baking dish. Prepare corn muffin mix according to package directions except add 1/2 can French fried ions; spoon around outer edge of casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Top corn bread with cheese and remaining onions; bake 2-3 minutes longer. |
