RANCH STYLE STEW 
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. whole kernel corn
1 (No. 2) can kidney beans
1 tsp. salt
2 c. tomatoes
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin powder
1/2 c. water

Brown the beef, onion and green pepper in shortening in large saucepan; drain off fat. Add the corn, beans, salt, tomatoes, chili powder, cumin powder and water and simmer for 20 minutes.
