MOTHER BUTLER'S KISS PUDDING | |
7 egg whites 2 c. sugar 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 tsp. vanilla FROSTING: 1 pt. whipping cream 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. finely chopped walnuts Preheat oven to 350 degrees, then turn to 250 degrees. Completely line 2 cake pans with waxed paper and butter heavily. Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add sugar. Beat until smooth. Add vinegar and vanilla. Pour into prepared cake pans. Bake 45 minutes. Frosting: Beat whipping cream. Beat in sugar and vanilla. Add walnuts. Frost between layers. Spread remainder on top and sides. Decorate with walnut pieces and/or cherries on top and/or sides. Keep refrigerated. Note: This is a very unusual recipe - kind of like an angel food cake without the flour. Very good! |
