COCONUT MACAROONS 
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Dash salt
2/3 c. sugar
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut (1 1/3 c.)

Grease cookie sheet. Beat egg whites, vanilla and salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in coconut. Drop from teaspoon 1 1/2" apart onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake in a 350 degree oven about 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Makes 20 to 24.
