STUFFED PEPPERS 
6 med. bell peppers
1/2 c. diced onion
1 c. tomatoes
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. corn bread crumbs
6 crackers or 1 slice bread
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1 sm. can potted meat

Cut off tops of peppers; remove seed and boil in salty water about 5 minutes, drain. Dice tops of peppers, add onion, tomatoes, and 1 cup water; boil 5 minutes. Fold in bread crumbs and crackers; add sugar, butter, egg, and potted meat. Mix well. Put in drained peppers and bake about 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
