WHITE FROSTING 
2 1/3 c. confectionery sugar
1 egg
Dash of salt
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat confectionery sugar, egg and salt. Blend 1/4 cup sugar and water and boil for 1 minute; and add beaten mixture. Beat well and add remaining ingredients. This frosting always stays soft, never gets crusty.
