SOUTH SEAFOOD CHOWDER | |
2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams (undrained) 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes (undrained), chopped 2 c. water 1 lg. potato, peeled & cubed 2 med. onions, thinly sliced 1 med. green pepper, coarsely chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 bay leaf 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. dried basil 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen cut okra 1 lb. flounder or sole fillets, cut into bite-size pieces Drain clams, reserving liquid; set clams aside. Combine clam liquid and next 10 ingredients in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender. |
