2 c. all purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter (cold, cut into 1 inch pieces)
1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
3/4 c. pecans (toasted and coarsely chopped)
3/4 c. milk

Add grated Cheddar and pecans; toss well to mix. Stir in milk just until moistened. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface; knead two or three times until dough just holds together. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness, using 1 1/2 inch round cutter, cut out biscuits. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen.
