TINY CHEDDAR BISCUITS 
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. red pepper
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/4 c. milk
Pecan halves, optional

Combine flour, salt and pepper. Cut in butter and cheese to reach coarse meal texture. Add milk. Turn dough onto floured surface; knead 3 or 4 times. Shape dough, roll and wrap in wax paper. Chill 2 hours until firm. Cut into 1/2 inch slices and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Yield 2 dozen.
