FRIED CABBAGE 
1 med. head cabbage, shredded
1 med. onion, sliced
2 or 3 slices bacon
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt

Wash cabbage, cut in half. Remove center core, shred. Fry bacon until brown add shredded cabbage, onion, salt and pepper, and 1/4 cup water. cover and cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until crispy tender. Serve with cornbread. Use iron skillet or wok for best results.
