1/4 c. butter
4 squares chocolate
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Melt together butter and chocolate. Add sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Beat for 1 minute. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and add. Add nuts and vanilla. Chill thoroughly. Shape in small balls, roll in confectioners' sugar. Bake at 300 degrees for 16 minutes for chewy and 18 minutes for crunchy.
