PRETTY PEARS FOR CHRISTMAS 
1 large can pear halves, drained
red and green food coloring

Divide juice 1/2 and 1/2 in bowls. Add green coloring to one; add red coloring to other. Darken to your liking. Add pears and refrigerate overnight.

Filling:

1 brick cream cheese
1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. ground nuts

Mix together and scoop into colored pear halves, about 1 teaspoon each. Serve on a bed of lettuce.
