CHEESE-MELT BEAN CASSEROLE 
(Beans must be cooked ahead serves 5-6).

INGREDIENTS:

2 tbsp. chopped onions
2 tbsp. chopped green pepper
12 tbsp. honey or sugar
4 c. cooked dried beans
1 c. tomato sauce
3 slices of cheese

EQUIPMENT:

Stove
Oven
Sm. skillet
Baking dish
Measuring spoons
Measuring cups
Cutting board
Knife
Spoon

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. In small skillet, place butter, chopped onions, and chopped green pepper; stir over medium heat until onion is clear.

3. In baking dish, combine beans and tomato sauce.

4. Add butter, onion, and green pepper mixture.

5. Add honey or sugar.

6. Put baking dish in oven and bake 40 minutes. (Take baking dish out and stir after 15 minutes; then return to oven.)

7. After 40 minutes baking time, remove dish from oven.

8. Place cheese slices on top of baking dish.

9. Put baking dish back into oven and bake 5 minutes more.

10. Serve.
