Place roast in crock pot (eye of round roast works best). Add one cup red cooking wine (you can use cooking sherry if you prefer). Add one cup water (this can be less, just enough to cover the roast). Slice 2 medium onions, add to crock pot. Use Lawry salt and garlic powder to taste. Cook on low power 6-8 hours. Remove roast from crock pot. Let cool 15-20 minutes. Slice the roast, put slices back into the juice. Make sure crock pot is turned off. Serve roast beef slices on milano buns or hamburger buns. This is a great meal idea for days you're at work.
