PULL "CREAM" TAFFY | |
4 c. white sugar 2 c. water 1 stick butter (I usually make 1/2 the recipe at a time.) Mix thoroughly - cook on high until mixture reaches 258 degrees. Do not stir. Remove immediately; pour on cold buttered marble slab. Cool until you can turn the edges inside. Pick up after if has cooled enough, not to burn your hands. Pull until it turns almost white and keeps its shape when roped. Lay on buttered surface. Cut with scissors. Do not let the pieces touch, it will cream at different time periods. Store tightly covered. |
