CHERRY COFFEECAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1 (21 oz.) cherry (or other) pie filling

Add ingredients (first 7 only) in order; blend on low, then beat on high for 3 minutes. Add flour. Spread 2/3 of batter in greased jelly roll pan (15 x 10 inch). Spread pie filling over batter. Drop remaining batter by teaspoon in rows over filling. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. While warm, drizzle with 1 cup powdered sugar mixed with 2 tablespoons milk.
