HOPPING JOHN 
1/2 lb. bacon
1 sm. onion
1/2 lb. sausage
2 cans blackeyed peas
2 c. Minute Rice

Fry bacon and onion together. Fry sausage. Heat blackeyed peas. Add bacon and sausage to peas. Fix rice as directed on box. Add all ingredients together. This is a dish that is a tradition in the south to be eaten on New Years Day for good luck.
