SWISS STEAK 
6 lbs. round steak, cut in serving pieces

Dip in flour, brown in shortening with salt and pepper. In Dutch oven or large crock pot, add together:

1 lg. onion, sliced & separated
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can tomato soup
1 pkg. onion soup mix (1 to 2 tbsp. could be enough)
1 c. red wine (optional)
2 cans water
4 beef bouillon cubes

Add browned meat and bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours or on low in crock pot 4 to 5 hours. To leftover "soup" add 1 package frozen mixed vegetables, sliced mushrooms, diced up remaining meat.
