CREAMY PRALINES 
1 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. corn syrup
1/2 stick butter (2 oz.)
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
2 c. pecans

Blend sugars, syrup, and milk. Cook on medium heat until mixture boils. Add 1/2 of the butter and cook until 236 degrees is reached on candy thermometer. Remove from heat, add the rest of the butter. Add vanilla and beat until thick. Add pecans. Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper. Makes 3 dozen.
