FRENCH STRAWBERRY GLACE PIE 
1 c. flour
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter
2 to 3 tbsp. water

FILLING:

1 qt. strawberries
2/3 c. water
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/3 c. water
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened

Make pie crust as usual. Roll out and place in 9 inch pie pan. Prick with fork and bake in preheated 450 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool.

FILLING: Wash berries. Simmer together 1 cup berries and 2/3 cup water for 3 minutes. Blend cornstarch, 1/3 cup water and sugar together, add to boiling mixture. Boil 1 minute. Cool. Spread cream cheese on bottom of pie shell. Spread remaining berries on top of cream cheese. Cover with cooked mixture. Top with Cool Whip. Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours.
