FRESH STRAWBERRY GLACE PIE 
1 c. sifted flour
1/8 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
2 to 3 tbsp. cold water
1 qt. strawberries
3/4 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. lemon juice
3 tbsp. cornstarch
Whipped cream

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, shortening and cold water. Chill dough. Roll out and put in pie pan. Prick well and bake.

Line cool pastry shell with berries; reserve 1 cup for glaze. Simmer reserve berries and water about 3 or 4 minutes.

Combine cornstarch and sugar. Add to fruit and cook again until syrup is thick and clear, stirring constantly. Add lemon juice. Cool slightly. Pour over berries in pastry shell. Cool. Decorate with whipped cream.
