COFFEE PUNCH 
4 qts. strong coffee
1 qt. whipping cream
5 tbsp. sugar
5 tsp. vanilla
2 qts. vanilla ice cream

Early in the day or on the day before, make coffee and refrigerate until chilled. (Drip chicory coffee such as Luzianne is definitely best.) Just before serving, whip cream adding sugar and vanilla. Spoon or slice ice cream into punch bowl and add whipped cream. Pour cold coffee over it and mix well. Serve in cups. Makes 50 to 60 servings.
