NORWEGIAN APPLE DESSERT 
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
1 c. apples, peeled and diced

Combine sugar, flour, salt and baking powder; stir well. Beat in egg and vanilla with whisk or spoon. Stir in nuts and apples. Mixture becomes thick. Spoon into buttered pie pan (8-9 inch) and spread evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Serve warm or cold, plain or with whipped cream or ice cream. May be frozen. Serves 6.
