CHEESY TACO CASSEROLE 
1 (7 oz.) pkg. uncooked macaroni (cooked as pkg. directs)
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
1 (15 oz.) can chili beans (optional)
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 c. milk
2 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese (shredded)
1 (2.8 oz.) can French fried onions
1 c. lettuce (shredded)
1 med. tomato (diced)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large skillet brown meat and pour off fat. Add taco seasoning, tomato sauce and beans. Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. Stir milk and 2 cups cheese into hot macaroni. In greased 3 quart baking dish layer 1/2 the macaroni, 1/2 the meat mixture, 1/2 can onions, remaining macaroni and remaining meat. Bake uncovered 20 to 25 minutes or until hot. To serve -top with lettuce, tomato, remaining cheese and onions. Refrigerate leftovers.
