TACO CASSEROLE 
1 (7 oz.) pkg. macaroni, cooked to pkg. directions & drained or 2 c.
1 lb. ground beef
1 (1/8 - 1 1/4 oz.) pkg. taco mix
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (15 oz.) can chili or kidney beans
1/4 c. milk
2 1/2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 (2.8 oz.) can French fried onion rings
1 med. tomato, diced
Shredded lettuce

In large skillet brown meat and drain. Add taco seasoning, tomato sauce and beans. Simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes. Stir milk and 2 cups cheese into hot macaroni.

In greased 3 quart baking dish, layer 1/2 of the macaroni and 1/2 of the meat mixture. Sprinkle 1/2 of the onions on. Repeat with macaroni and meat. Bake, uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with diced tomato, lettuce, the rest of cheese and onions. Serves 6 to 8.
