WALNUT COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped nuts
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. light cream

1. Cream butter. Add sugar and cream again. Beat in vanilla. Add walnuts to flour and add alternately with cream to first mixture.

2. Shape dough into 2 rolls each 12 inches long. Wrap in waxed paper and chill overnight.

3. Cut dough into 1/4 inch slices. Place on cookie sheets. Press cookies crosswise with fork. Bake in moderate oven at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
