WALNUT COOKIES 
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt (optional)
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. chopped walnuts

In a medium size bowl combine flour, soda, and salt; set aside. In a large bowl beat until creamy: butter, both sugars, vanilla. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour to the sugar/butter mixture. Stir in the chopped walnuts. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 9-11 minutes.
