Loved it!! I used white chocolate instant pudding, Crisco butter shortening and no nuts. Definitely a keeper. Next time will try with chocolate pudding @ my sons request (he's a chocolate addict).

WARNING - THESE COOKIES ARE VERY VERY ADDICTING! If you dont have the pudding mix the recipe works just as good. My cookies are taken out when the bottom is golden and the a little bit around edges. Most people will think there still raw but there not. They harden alittle bit so they dont fall apart in your hand. There the best cookies by far. Nice and chewy soft and get better the longer they sit. Enjoy!

Been using this recipe for 40 years. Now the secret is out! Try white chocolate chips. Awesome. Also, use chocolate pudding and Reeses peanut butter chips for a great alternative.

I've used this recipe for 35 years, and it's an excellent one as the original, or for changing up simply by switching up the flavours of the the pudding you use and the different types of "chips". For Xmas I substitute baking gumdrops for the choc. chips. Try pistachio pudding along with white choc chips, and caramel pudding with peanut butter chips.

I found this recipe on the inside of a pudding box back in 1986. It has been a favorite for everyone who has tasted! We have done all kinds of variations, white chocolate macadamia, french vanilla pecan. Yum yum yum. Not a fan of using regular chocolate pudding but all others have been awesome.

I've been making these since I was a teenager. My Mom originally found this recipe and made them, then I took over making them. They are the only cookies I will make. You can use a variety of instant pudding flavors and chips. We've made them with chocolate raspberry chips (amazing, but can't find these chips anymore) and Andes mint chips. Since my Mom passed in 2016, I got her KitchenAid mixer, so now I can make them more often, even just on a Sunday afternoon for no reason. The one I just finished eating was divine! lol 30 years of making them down, 30 to go!
