CARAMEL POPCORN 
3 qts. freshly popped popcorn
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. King syrup molasses

Into a large shallow baking dish or roaster, turn the popcorn; set aside. In a 2 quart saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in sugar, salt and syrup. Cook, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a boil. Boil, without stirring, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Pour over popcorn in baking pan and stir to mix. Bake in a preheated 250 degree oven for 1 hour, stirring 3 or 4 times. Cool completely. Store in a tightly covered container. Makes about 2 1/2 quarts.
